What Successful People Have That You Don't (You Actually Have It Too)

You see them everywhere. They are on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube - and every time you see them, you wonder "How did they do it?"

The struggle is real - or so you would think. I mean you weren't born looking like Bella Hadid and don't have the 4 million followers on Instagram that Aimee Song has, and don't even have a school like Marie Forleo. So when you launch forward to build your brand, it can be intimidating and cause you to lose your confidence and once high hopes.

How To Win On Instagram With A Small Following As A Micro-Influencer

There's a new influencer in town, and it's called a MICRO-INFLUENCER. Let's hear it for the small brands, the people with the smaller following on Instagram and other social media platforms. It turns out size doesn't matter - or at least in the way that you think.

Traditionally, it has been the goal of most people on Instagram to pursue a large following. Known as a "macro-influencer", people with hundreds of thousands to millions of followers produce a pavlov dog response in people trying to make their own impact with their social media feed. But now, in a time when people - consumers - are starting to get picky - picky on what they want to buy, brands they trust, and now turning to reviews and recommendations from friends over big box options - there never has been a better time to stand out as a smaller brand.

Why You Need To Start Believing In Yourself

Believe in yourself - I mean "DUH" you think - "of course you need to believe in yourself". But you know that and then when, as an entrepreneur, you find yourself feeling afraid to do a video, afraid to speak up and say what you think, and questioning whether you are worth the amount you are charging for your products, services, or as a blogger, your social media following.

I mean, I get it. I'm an entrepreneur and human too. And actually, my own self doubt caused me to study psychology, and how our brains actually work. And I'm here to tell you, we are our own worst enemy. Research shows that we have 60,000-80,000 thoughts a day, 80% are NEGATIVE and 95% are unconscious and repetitive.

What??? Wow - that's a lot of unconscious and negative thinking happening behind the scenes - and the reality is, if you aren't conscious of this basic human fact, you may experience a lot of self doubt and actually get in your own way on your path to success.

So what's a girlboss to do when our very own minds are not supporting our path to success?

Why You Don't Have To Pick A Niche As A Multi-Passionate Entrepreneur

You've heard it a million times - "pick a niche". It's probably the most heart wrenching question most multi-passionate entrepreneurs and bloggers struggle with.

Pick a niche when you have so many different interests? How do you put your passions into one restricted box? Yet when it seems as though everybody is saying you have to choose just one, most people set off and follow what the "best practices" and status quo are preaching.

You're a health coach, a blogger, a person who loves your life and when someone tells you to "niche down" it makes your heart crumble. How do you put your multiple interests and talents into a small niched-down box?

Popularized by Audrey Hepburn back in the 50's, even my fashionista mother was wearing them back in the 70's.

So let's hear it for getting COMFORTABLE at those networking events, looking stylish in your everyday life (they look awesome with jeans!) and actually looking in trend for fall 2017 and onward.
