How To Tell If Your Business Is Positioned For Success

Are you on a verge of breakthrough success in your business?

It's the entrepreneurial rollercoaster...some days you are riding the wave of complete alignment - high on your own inspiration, creativity, and words of wisdom, and the next day, it's like somebody just blew your candle out.

Always in the back of your head, sits the thought "But what if I'm right around the corner from my millions? If I stop now, what if the golden ticket was just on the other side?"

Is there a way to tell if you are heading in the right direction, and even, possibly the breakthrough that will set you free?


Sure - if you are making a ton of money and you LOVE your business (both are essential for a well positioned business) - then that is a surefire sign.

But is there a way to tell if you on track and headed in the right direction if you aren't seeing money falling from the sky yet?

Knowing where you stand in your business is an important measure of your current and future success. It's only when you are consciously monitoring your own progress, that you will make sure you stay on the right track and not fall victim to the random noise online.

Personally, I am not a name on an email list and I am not someone who belongs in a random "funnel". It has been my strong stand since the start of my business, and because of that, everything I do and the advice I give to those in my tribe, is of an up leveled standard for themselves and their business.


Positioning is taking a stand for something you believe in. Knowing what you believe and standing for it, practicing it, and screaming it form the rooftops.


But when you walk on the fringe, rather than indulge in popular opinion, the outward signs like money and popularity, are looming but not yet present - and it is only when you can recognize those signs - that you can use them as an extra push towards greater confidence to get clear on the position you must maintain to materialize the windfall coming your way.

So take note. Here are 4 signs that you are on the verge of a breakthrough in your business: 

1. You don't have to sell.  

Yay! Yes, if you're business is positioned correctly, selling, overcoming objections - those are just things "sales people" do. A well positioned business sells itself. You solve an urgent problem for your BBF Legacy Client, so when you get on the phone with them, it's SOLD before you can even end the call.

This is what conscious selling is, it's knowing that you don't just have a random "target market" or "customer avatar" - you have a NICHE which is made up of actual people (not some faceless avatar who isn't even human), who have the urgent problem you solve, and who "GET" you. 

If your business is positioned correctly, you don’t have a faceless “avatar”, you have a niche made up of the people who have the urgent problem you (and only you) solve, and who “GET” you.


2. You are attracting the competition.  

Ok - this one is kind of AWKWARD I know, but it's one of the key hidden signs that your business is positioned correctly. 

Whatever you do in your business, if your business is positioned correctly, your "competition" is watching you. Do you have your competition as clients? Are they trying to be friends with you? Or are they possibly hidden in your list?

And I don't just mean people who are doing the same thing as you. I'm talking somebody that may make you feel not good enough...  like the mother who has the "perfect" family AND a thriving business - when your business is about teaching kids good nutrition and you feel like your kids are screaming all of the time - and you wonder "How does she do it all?" 

Don't worry! That actually is one of the signs of your business being positioned correctly. You are actually doing something right. Your competition can see it, that mom who is your friend and asking you about those recipes, people who are doing similar things as you are names on your email list - it's all a sign. 

It's that you are so different that they are trying to see what you are doing. It's a silent compliment, and a very great position to be in. 

In fact, almost all of my most recent clients DO THE SAME THING AS ME. They are helping their BBF Legacy Clients find their purpose and a few of them are helping them build their business. 

But as I told one of my clients when she asked if it was ok to work together because we do the same thing, the reality is, we don't. We don't work with the same clients, appeal to the same clients, and in truth, we had uncovered her unique positioning during the time we worked together and created a whole unique niche that transformed her business!

If you are attracting your competition, you are doing something very right and up leveling the expectations about business and life to others. You are creating change and leading with your vision.

3. Your Marketing feels Easy and Gets Results.  

I often hear people say "I hate marketing". "I'm spending a lot of time scheduling posts." "I need a VA". 

But when your business is positioned correctly, your marketing is easier. Yes, it's work - that's what work is - but it just flows so much easier. You know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.

If your marketing feels clunky and leaves you blocked and stuck, you're not doing it right. Your marketing is easy when you make it a part of you.  With your words, your voice, your actions. It just feels like home.

4. Your Clients Make You Stand Up Straighter
This is kind of hard for many people to grasp, but the lesson that you teach is the lesson you need to learn, over and over again. That means, whatever you do in your business - not just from the urgent problem you solve, but the "thing behind the thing" - that hidden thing that makes you and your client "get" each other - part of it is actually a weakness of yours. You've mastered it for sure - you've spent whole life trying to overcome it - and when your business is positioned right, you attract the people who have that same trait.

But to turn it from a challenge into a success, you have to realize that it is your secret weapon.  That while it may not seem like it, you are still steps ahead of your clients. Your challenges and life experience, once it's turned into a monetized system, are the KEY to your success.

A well positioned business attracts what I call QUALITY CLIENTS. These people really value what you do because you unlock their urgent problem. 

But because they are so high quality, they are just as awesome as you. And once you unlock them with your magic, they literally achieve an amazing success that makes you feel trumped. 

Confidence is a daily challenge. It's about knowing what your highest values are, reminding yourself who you are at the core, and surrounding yourself with people who "get" you and "get" it. 

This is about stepping into your success identity NOW. You need to realize that despite not feeling just as good as them, their success is actually your success.
